Okommerce does not take a cut of your sales — it is self-hosted software you run yourself, so there is no platform transaction fee or GMV-linked charge skimming each order. This matters because per-sale fees scale with your success: on hosted platforms, the more you sell, the more you pay the platform, indefinitely. With a self-hosted model your platform cost is decoupled from revenue — you pay for hosting and (if applicable) a license, not for every transaction — so unit economics improve as you grow rather than being permanently taxed. The only per-transaction costs you incur are your *payment provider's* processing fees (which Okommerce accounts for precisely, recording gross, fee, and net per payment), not a fee to Okommerce itself. *(Any license/edition pricing is a separate matter — see Section 2.)*
